Summary

Provides financial, administrative and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.

Essential Functions

  • Review all vendor bills for appropriate documentation and approval prior to entry
  • Ensure remit to, terms and vendor information are accurately recorded
  • Accurately code expenses to appropriate general ledger accounts in the correct period
  • Resolve discrepancies and respond to accounts payable inquiries
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Assist with processing monthly credit card expenses via Expensify and NetSuite
  • Participate in monthly close duties
  • Assist with check run
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Assist Finance and Accounting department on an ad-hoc basis as needed

  • None

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years Accounts Payable experience preferred
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Experience working with NetSuite strongly preferred
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills required)
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and internal controls
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Understanding of working with and protecting confidential information
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy and dynamic environment
  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous process improvement

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit continuously at a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds on occasion

Work environment

  • Work takes place in an office setting
  • Ability to work additional/overtime hours as necessary during peak times (e.g. month-end close) and occasionally on an ad-hoc basis dependent on business needs
