Ride Along: Janet KimFeb 26, 2020
Janet Kim manages sales in our growing Los Angeles market, which often means long days spent driving across town visiting wholesale accounts, stopping for the occasional snack or dog hang. Here's a glimpse at a typical day.
I started the day with a walk in the hood to Echo Park Lake with my puppy Ponzu - here she is with the Queen of Angels, Lady Adamae.
On the way home, we stopped by my local coffee window for an iced barley tea, then I drove to West Hollywood to visit a customer... Before heading into the office, I swung by Alfred Coffee on Melrose Place to celebrate their 7th anniversary (!!), and ordered a round of their special anniversary drinks for our crew.
I delivered the drinks to our production team - the fine folks behind packaging and delivering (and so much more) every bag of coffee for the Southwest region, then headed to the roastery to get work done! The cafe was closed for a day-long barista training, so the roasters took over behind the bar!
After a couple of hours in the office, I walked to Guerilla Tacos for some tasty veggie tacos -- we’re so lucky to have them right around the corner.
We had some folks down from HQ in Portland for meetings and our LA team’s holiday party -- so we all met at the roastery at the end of the day, then headed out for drinks. We agreed to meet at Bar Flores, a great spot in my neighborhood with a dog-friendly patio, so I cruised home, scooped Ponzu up, and walked over. After an extended happy hour with the work crew, Ponzu and I stopped for late night tacos on the way home.
