Anywhere But Home: Spaceness 2016

Feb 22, 2016

Spaceness is an annual event bringing together artists, musicians, performers and thinkers to explore shared experiences of time and space and galactic gaps of understanding in the universe. The second annual Spaceness was held at the Sou'wester Lodge, a charming collection of Airstream trailers and cabins in Seaview, Washington.

Dozens of artists and performers came to a far out place to look headlong into the enduring known unknowns through two-sided kaleidoscopes, a nine-string electro acoustic harp desk, an interactive X-Files theater piece, cannon-launched sandwiches, a new dream portal and a reappearance of the Monolith on earth. And there was a food portrait of space tourist Lance Bass, of course.

We brought coffee to keep the artists awake and alive to the mysteries of the cosmos and, in turn, found that the truth was out there. Learn more about Spaceness here and scroll down to see snaps of our close encounters.
