Summary

In collaboration with our Wholesale Sales team, the Account Specialist will work closely with our existing customers to find incremental sales opportunities by matching their needs with Stumptown product and program offerings. This person will provide exceptional service and support, working as a liaison between accounts and all internal departments. They will onboard all new customers, ensuring their introduction to Stumptown is unparalleled. Ultimately, the Account Specialist will build productive, successful relationships with our customers, which result in satisfied partners and positive sales / revenue growth for their assigned market. This role is compensated through a base pay as well as a quarterly bonus based on measured success against sales initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Accountable to achieving and reporting on quarterly sales initiatives
  • Identify revenue opportunities in customer partnerships through regular communication and analysis of purchasing patterns
  • Collaborate with Sales team to align strategy in initiatives as well as customer management
  • Keep customers informed of all product launches, seasonal transitions, policy changes, and/or pricing updates
  • Suggest relevant programs to existing customers in order to build their business and drive Stumptown’s sales

Account Management:

  • Proactively provide account management and consulting to our customers
  • Act as concierge, connecting customers to our suite of services (Training and Quality Assurance, Technical Services, and Sales)
  • Work closely with Finance, Training, Service, and Marketing teams to gain up-to-date information and leverage resources for customer needs
  • Onboard new customers, completing all forms and collaborating with internal teams to ensure process is timely and smooth for the customer
  • Offer order management to new customers, bringing thorough knowledge of coffee program pars and inventory best practices

Customer Support:

  • Consistently hit or exceed high standard of hospitality / customer service
  • Uphold timely response to customers. Same-day replies are a must; under 3 hours is ideal.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Stumptown policies as they relate to wholesale customers
  • Keep management informed of all activity, including regular reporting on sales initiatives and customer satisfaction
  • Accurately and efficiently enter customer orders into NetSuite, ensuring they are approved before the order deadline
  • Work closely with Operations teams to ensure customer orders meet our standards; collaborate to expedite orders as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Background in Customer Service and/or Sales
  • Expert ability to anticipate customer needs
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; proficiency in Excel
  • Experience in building presentations, using applications such as PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote
  • Keen sense of balance between efficiency and tailored account management
  • Knowledge of small business challenges and possible solutions
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in NetSuite and SalesForce a plus
