Summary

The receptionist will welcome visitors into the headquarters of Stumptown and set the tone for the building. This position will also be responsible for answering incoming calls, mail distribution, requisition of supplies and other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Welcome guests to our headquarters and make them feel comfortable

  • Answer general telephone inquiries and direct callers to appropriate parties

  • Facilitate wholesale customer pick ups

  • Consistently deliver an exceptional customer service experience

  • Receive, sort and forward incoming mail

  • Brew drip coffee for visitors and employees

  • Assist with the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies

  • Assist with chores and general upkeep

  • Take on other duties and projects as assigned

Supervisory responsibilities

  • None

Qualifications

  • Customer service or hospitality experience preferred

  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for coffee

  • Problem solving and multitasking ability

  • Willingness to contribute in a team environment

  • Understanding of Stumptown’s position as a quality-oriented and customer focused company

  • Flexible and adaptable to change

  • Calm demeanor under pressure

  • Familiarity with MS Office, spreadsheets, Google Drive and other computer tools

  • Empathetic, positive, can-do attitude

  • Works independently with minimal supervision

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit continuously at a computer

  • Carry weight, lift – lift up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally

Work environment

  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment
