Alfonso and Karim Tejada Iberico
Alfonso and Karim are a true dynamic duo – Alfonso is an incredibly driven coffee producer who has brought a new level of quality to Peruvian coffees on the farm he inherited from his grandmother. Karim is head of Quality Control and runs the newly-built cupping and training lab that ensures that all Timbuyacu coffee maintains the highest level of quality.
The lushness and density of this deep cup seem to mimic the landscape, with its verdant rainforests and wild vegetation. To get to this coffee, we wind our way high through the Peruvian Andes, passing Incan ruins and eventually arriving at Rodriguez de Mendoza, a remote, province known for its fertile soils and tropical forests.
