Careers at Stumptown
Hi, we're Stumptown, a coffee company committed to sourcing, roasting, packaging, delivering, and serving what we firmly believe is the best coffee on the planet. We’re progressive, innovative, and uncompromising in our commitment to quality. We pride ourselves on our passion for excellence, our spirit of generosity, and on the long-term relationships we nurture as we guide our coffee from the good hands of our hardworking partners at origin into the cups of our customers. We work hard, collaborate constantly, and have fun every day. If you love coffee, people, and getting things done, this just might be the place for you.
Who We Are
How We Work
Stumptown became a certified B Corp in June 2018. The certification builds on values Stumptown has long held dear, including an employee-driven culture, Direct Trade coffee sourcing, affordable access to health care, taking care of the environment, and simply doing things our way. We think of our commitment to B Corp as a commitment to help track and measure how we’re doing and where we need to do better. Becoming certified wasn’t the finish line—it was the start of the journey.
Stumptown offers a full benefit package to employees who work 20+ hours per week, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; Employee Assistance Program (EAP), life insurance, a robust 401k retirement savings program with a company match, and paid time off programs (vacation, sick time, leave for new parents, and volunteer time, just to name a few). And, lots and lots of coffee!
Stumptown actively and intentionally works to create a diverse team—different ideas, backgrounds, and identities make us stronger, together. We aspire to build a safe and welcoming space for all; a place where individuals can grow their unique skills, and where we’re all accountable to help shape what we want to see in this community. This pursuit is ongoing—we strive to lead with a progressive approach and continually learn from our shared experiences.
We know we are the last link of a long chain, stretching across the earth, made up of hundreds of people and years of toil, soil and sweat to get this coffee into our hands. We take that responsibility very seriously. And we also have a lot of fun.
