Education
Our French Roast incorporates some excellent organic-certified Central and South American and East African coffees. Each component of this dark roasted blend meshes perfectly to create a balanced and full-bodied coffee. The producers who contribute their coffee to this blend devote attention to their cultivation and processing. They also manage their farms according to organic certification standards, which means these coffees are grown and processed without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers.
When roasting this offering, we gently extend the heat and time in order to add an additional roasted sweetness that will appeal to anyone who appreciates a classic dark roast. As with all of our coffees, our guide for roasting coffee is flavor. The methods we use to achieve that flavor changes constantly, day to day and season to season. We use our flavor profile as a guide to attain a consistent cup. We roast our French to bring out the aspects inherent in the bean which we would like to accentuate, without imparting smoky flavors into this full-bodied coffee.
