This coffee is a scotch, not a bourbon. It’s esoteric, it’s funky, it’s polarizing, and it’s incredible.
Dark Chocolate, Clove, Mint
The deep fingerprint of Sumatran coffees is elevated with spicy clove and a subtle but distinct mint finish.
Producer: Ketiara Cooperative
This woman-led cooperative produces some of the cleanest Indonesian coffee we’ve ever tried. Much of the hard work happens before the coffee even grows, with great attention paid to cultivation, pruning and soil health.
All this coffee comes from six villages in the Bies Penantan region, which is just one portion of the coffee that the Ketiara Cooperative produces. In addition to coffee, the group grows avocado, orange, banana, pepper, ginger and more under a lush old-growth forest.
